I bought A DSLR camera to capture the entire life of my new baby boy who is due to arrive at any time. I know next to nothing about photography but my brother is a great amateur photographer and I plan to read a bunch of books.

That being said, my new Canon Rebel XTi almost makes it too easy to get great photos. I combined the Canon body with a 50mm fixed lens and I am really happy with the results so far. I think I am going to capture some amazing portraits in the near future.

Gavin decides that his crib isn’t that bad for an afternoon nap. Now, if we could just get him to sleep in it at night.

But, eventually he will have his own blog there… at least when he learns to type. I hope Gavin will be one of the first people to have the same blog from his ultrasound pictures all the way up to adulthood.
