The Reuben H. Fleet has a great new exhibit about stem cells the boys really enjoyed learning from. Maybe they will grow up to be scientists?

All the San Diego family gathered at Mando’s house in Highland to celebrate Grandpa Walo’s 21st birthday party. He has been celebrating his 21st birthday every year since I have known him. Best we can tell, he really turned 88, but he hasn’t been his real age for so long that no one can quite remember 😉

Photos 2-6 are of the boys taking pictures of each other using mine and Ross’ (Mando’s brother-in-law) cameras. Luckily, they managed to get a few good shots without dropping the cameras.

It was opening day for Little League. Gavin is in the “Single A” level again this year, and on a new team. Most of his team from last year moved up to “Double A”, where he will join them next year.

Aliciana got up bright and early to take a few photos of the opening day ceremony. Then we were all on hand later in the day to watch Gavin’s first game.

There were beautiful sights to see at the Cherry Blossom Festival at the Japanese Friendship Garden in Balboa Park. There was a ton of people there but, once we found parking, the beautiful trees were worth it.

Aliciana took some photos at Connor’s first soccer practice. He is so excited to play soccer and had a blast! The little boys got to pick their team name: Go Ninja Tigers!

We spent a long weekend in Bakersfield so the boys could visit their Great Grandma and the rest of our Bakersfield Ladd family. On Sunday we all gathered at a local park to celebrate Levi’s 1st birthday, who is my cousin Kayla’s little boy. He had a blast eating his Mickey Mouse cake!

It’s hard to believe my little “Bub” is already 8 years old. The time has gone by so fast but he has turned into a wonderful little boy. Children really do grow up too fast!

Gavin got to open his presents in the morning and then we spent the early afternoon at Connor’s soccer game. We spent the late afternoon at the San Diego Natural History Museum checking out the new Whales exhibit. Then we went out to dinner for Gavin’s favorite meal: pizza at Woodstock’s.
