Lots of robots, including a giant fire-breathing one, and 3D printers were the highlights of this year’s Maker Faire. The boys had lots of fun looking at all the displays and making some hands on crafts.

It has become a bit of a tradition for us to go to The Old Globe in Balboa Park and see the Dr Seuss Christmas tree. Afterwards, we spent the afternoon at the Fleet Science Center.

The boys had fun learning to cross-stitch and stamp leather this year. They also got to drive the competition robots made by a couple of high school teams.

Enjoying the sun outdoors, first at Balboa Park and then on drive downtown and along the bay. We ended up at Harbor Island, looking at the city from across the water.

I think most of San Diego was at the park, but we still enjoyed ourselves, even with all the crowds. The Fleet has a fun exhibit on color.
